What level of English is required?

All levels are welcome! Our teachers are experienced in designing lesson plans that allow non-English-speaking children to interpret, engage with, and enjoy the activities.

As a community, we value collaboration and inclusivity. We often have children in different age groups who speak the same language as our non-English-speaking students. These children naturally support each other, which not only helps the new learners feel comfortable but also teaches them the importance of helping others and building friendships.

The Ninja class is a mixed-age group (7 to 9 years old) designed specifically for non-English-speaking children. This class focuses on developing English skills and preparing students for age-appropriate classes.Children typically spend two semesters in Ninja class, where they gain the confidence and language foundation needed to transition into the right grade-level class.

How do you keep parents informed of what is being taught?

Each class has an exclusive chat group with all the students' parents for that class and the teacher(s) where the general class reports are shared on a weekly/daily basis. The school contacts each child's parent(s) individually as well whenever needed for an in-depth progress report. Parents are also welcome to schedule a meeting with the teachers on the PTM days (Parents Teacher Meeting).

What is my child expected to bring to school everyday?

A bag containing the followings:

  • Notebooks (Depending on their age group)
  • Pencil case with a black pencil, a rubber, a sharpener and color pencils
  • Water Bottle
  • Extra clothes and a towel when it is rainy
  • Sports shoes and swimsuit for sports days

Although Arki provides pencils, color pencils, rubbers, etc, for the students, we really would love the students to practice the sense of responsibility and for sure they all enjoy having their own things and learning to take care of their belongings.
